On January 19, Beijing held a press conference on the city's economic operation in 2021.

Zhu Yannan, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and spokesperson, introduced that in 2021, the per capita disposable income of residents in Beijing will be 75,002 yuan, an increase of 8.0% over the previous year (2020).

Four types of income increased overall: salary income increased by 10.2%, net operating income increased by 15.8%, net property income increased by 5.7%, and net transfer income increased by 3.5%.

In 2021, the per capita consumption expenditure of residents in the city will be 43,640 yuan, an increase of 12.2% over the previous year (2020).

Eight categories of consumption expenditures increased across the board, among which consumption of health care, education, culture and entertainment, and other supplies and services increased by 22.0%, 21.0% and 20.3% respectively.
