The cost of futures for Brent oil reached $89.02 per barrel.

The last time Brent exceeded $89 per barrel was in October 2014.

Earlier it was reported that the duty on oil exports from Russia from February 1 will increase by $1 and amount to $47.7 per ton.

An expert of the National Energy Security Fund, a lecturer at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, Stanislav Mitrakhovich, in an interview with RT, spoke about the factors affecting oil prices.
