National Development and Reform Commission: In 2021, the national electricity consumption of the whole society will increase by 10.3% year-on-year.

　　On January 18, the National Development and Reform Commission held a January press conference.

Jin Xiandong, director of the Policy Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at the press conference that in 2021, electricity consumption across the country will increase by 10.3% year-on-year.

Among them, the electricity consumption of primary, secondary, tertiary and residents increased by 16.4%, 9.1%, 17.8% and 7.3% year-on-year respectively.

In terms of different regions, the growth rate of electricity consumption in 19 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in the country exceeded 10%, of which 8 provinces (regions) including Tibet, Qinghai, Hubei, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong increased by over 13%.
