Yushu Airport is located in Batang Grassland, Batang Township, Yushu City, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is a domestic regional airport with an airport level of 4C.
With an altitude of about 3950 meters, the airport is the highest altitude regional airport in Qinghai and the sixth highest in the world.
Statistics show that in 2021, Yushu Airport will aim to “build a sub-center airport in Qinghai, a central airport in Kham, and the most beautiful regional airport in the plateau”, give full play to its location advantages, strengthen reform and innovation, and continue to develop into a new level of development.
A total of 4,564 flights took off and landed throughout the year, and the passenger throughput was 374,561, an increase of 7.8% and 5.2% compared with 2020, and an increase of 28.1% and 17.5% compared with 2019.
