The report that validated the Bill for the Right to Housing approved by the Government of Pedro Sánchez

has failed this Friday in the plenary session of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ)

According to legal sources reported to EL MUNDO, after more than two hours of deliberation, the members have voted on a first amendment presented on the paper by member Álvaro Cuesta who advocated declaring Pedro Sánchez's law "an adequate regulatory instrument to consecrate and endow of content the right to housing".

A total of 15 members have voted in favor of the amendment by member Enrique Lucas, which has caused the initial proposal for the report to be invalidated and Cuesta to have to hand over the presentation to other colleagues.

The members have not shared the conclusion of Cuesta's report on the title of jurisdiction and this means that multiple issues of it must be reworked.

The new speakers of the report will be the members José Antonio Ballestero and Lucas.
