The vacancy rate of offices in central Tokyo in December was more than 6%, falling below the previous month for the second consecutive month.

However, the vacancy rate continues to be high due to the spread of telework.

According to Miki Shoji, a major office brokerage company, the vacancy rate of office buildings in five central Tokyo wards such as Chiyoda Ward and Minato Ward is the total of about 2600 buildings surveyed, and December is from the previous month. It fell 0.02 points to an average of 6.33%.

It has been declining for two consecutive months.

Although there were multiple contracts for medium-sized office rooms in December, companies are moving to consolidate offices due to the spread of telework, and the average vacancy rate has continued to be in the 6% range since June last year. It is still at a high level.

The breakdown by

▽ Shinjuku Ward 6.04%
