Appeared in 1973, the Volkswagen Passat had a very successful career alongside the sacrosanct Golf.
Living (or rather dying) with its time, it goes by the wayside to make room for a new electric model.
Eclipsed by the Arteon which wins the favors of customers, and perhaps also cannibalized by the Skoda Octavia, the sedan sees its production stopped, while the station wagon continues on its way for a few more months.
For now, we know that the replacement for the Passat will be a sedan inspired by the ID concept car.
Space Vizzion.
A station wagon version is also in development.
