According to a survey on individual lifestyle consciousness conducted by the Bank of Japan, the percentage of people who felt that prices had risen compared to a year ago exceeded 77%, the highest level in six years.

The main factor seems to be the rise in gasoline prices.

The Bank of Japan conducts a questionnaire survey every three months for individuals aged 20 and over nationwide in order to explore individual lifestyle consciousness, and this time, 2216 people responded in the one month until the beginning of December. I got it.

According to this, the percentage of those who answered that their feelings about prices have increased compared to a year ago increased by 15.9 points from the previous survey in September last year to 77.4%.

This is the highest level in six years since December 2015, and it seems that the main reason for this is that gasoline prices have risen due to soaring crude oil prices.

In addition, the percentage of those who answered that prices will increase one year later increased by 10.6 points from the previous time to 78.8%.

On the other hand, 33.7% of the respondents answered that their spending "increased" compared to a year ago, an increase of 6.2 points from the previous time.

The Bank of Japan has analyzed that the rise in gasoline prices as well as the improvement in consumer sentiment due to the cancellation of the state of emergency is the background, and it can be seen that the rise in prices is affecting households.
