Zhongxin Finance, January 11 (Reporter Zhang Xu) Previously, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference suggested in the proposal that in view of the accelerated aging of my country's population, it is necessary to speed up the improvement of the aging service capacity of public transport, and to transform the in-line bus stops. It is a harbor-style stop, improving the barrier-free and aging-friendly construction standards of bus stops, and optimizing the planning and design of the bus line network.

The Ministry of Transportation recently released a letter in response to the proposal.

Recently, the Ministry of Transport stated in a letter in response to the relevant proposals that it will continue to promote the construction of an aging-appropriate transportation service system with the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and other relevant departments.

For example, the 95128 telephone car-hailing and online car-hailing "one-click car-hailing" services opened in various places provide convenience for the elderly to quickly call a car. Since 2020, more than 6 million elderly people have been provided with taxi services.

The "National Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Network Planning Outline" issued in February 2021 clearly proposed to strengthen the construction of barrier-free facilities, improve barrier-free equipment and equipment, and improve the travel convenience and service level of special groups.

Improve the transportation service system for the elderly to meet the transportation needs of the aging society.

The Ministry of Transport stated that it has issued documents such as the "Implementation Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving Travel Services for the Elderly and Disabled" together with seven departments including the National Aging Office. Seat and others put forward relevant requirements.

At the same time, all localities have increased the construction and renovation of road and waterway passenger stations, comprehensive urban public transportation hubs, transport vehicles and ships, as well as railways and civil aviation.

A number of comprehensive passenger transport hubs such as Beijing South Railway Station, Shanghai Hongqiao and Shenzhen Futian have been built, equipped with high-standard and user-friendly barrier-free service facilities.

Shanghai, Guangzhou and other cities have gradually replaced urban public transport vehicles with low-floor buses, and adopted mobile pedals and first-class stepping facilities to provide convenience for the elderly.

In response to the "digital divide" encountered by the elderly in the use of intelligent technology, the Ministry of Transport has included "facilitating the elderly to travel by taxi" into the focus of promoting transportation closer to people's livelihood in 2021.

Guide all localities to open 95128 telephone car-hailing, online car-hailing "one-click car-hailing" and other services, and take measures such as optimal dispatching to provide convenience for the elderly to quickly call a car. Since 2020, it has provided taxi services for more than 6 million elderly people.

The Ministry of Transport stated that at present, the "hard facilities" and "soft environment" of my country's aging travel services continue to be optimized, but compared with the international advanced level and new demands, the transportation service capacity for aging travel services is still insufficient, and the service quality needs to be further improved.

The next step is to improve the top-level design of the system.

Further improve and improve the top-level system design for aging-appropriate travel.

Comprehensively sort out the current standards related to transportation, follow the principle of travel problem-oriented and demand-oriented for the elderly, fully consider the actual needs of the elderly for safe and convenient travel, and improve the aging-appropriate travel-related standard system.

Encourage the provision of travel service products for the elderly, such as telephone car-hailing and special car-hailing software, and support travel service companies to develop travel maps suitable for aging.
