CNR Shanghai, January 8 (Reporter Guo Zhendan) The reporter learned from the Pudong New Area Information Office that in 2021, the container throughput of Shanghai Port will exceed 47 million TEUs, an increase of 8% year-on-year, ranking first in the world for 12 consecutive years.

The growth of container throughput is closely related to the continuous optimization of the cross-border trade and business environment.

A few days ago, the fourth phase of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Wharf completed the pilot business of the first international transfer and consolidation of physical goods.

After large-scale operation, it will be conducive to the aggregation of high value-added logistics value-added services such as international procurement, distribution and distribution to Shanghai Port, and promote the transformation of Shanghai Port into a port comprehensive logistics service provider.

Compared with the original detour to the transit port, if relying on Shanghai Port for international transit and consolidation, logistics and import and export enterprises in Shanghai and even the Yangtze River Delta region can greatly save transit time and costs.

At the same time, Shanghai Customs actively promotes the pilot of the transit and consolidation business, explores the establishment of an international transit and consolidation center, conducts pilot studies on the application of technologies such as security smart locks and electronic fences, builds an IoT platform, realizes the networking between the enterprise warehouse management system and the customs system, and applies high-definition monitoring. The system implements the whole-process visual management of the transfer and consolidation operation area, providing a safer and more efficient supervision service for the pilot of the transfer and consolidation business.

At present, Shanghai International Shipping Center is moving from "basically completed" to "completely completed".

As the most important port of the Yangtze River waterway, Shanghai undertakes most of the foreign trade goods transit business in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and has become an important node of river-ocean intermodal transport connecting the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

In 2021, Shanghai Customs and Nanjing Customs, Hefei Customs, Hangzhou Customs and other customs directly under the Yangtze River Delta will expand the customs supervision mode of "joint unloading", take other ports as the unloading place of Shanghai Yangshan Port, and implement "joint unloading, treating one port as the same port". "Overall supervision, to achieve "one declaration, one inspection, one release" for import and export goods.

At present, Yangshan has formed a normalized joint unloading work mode with Taicang Port in Jiangsu, Wuhu Port in Anhui, Dushan Port in Zhejiang and Anji Port, etc., to achieve the goal of expanding to the three provinces of the Yangtze River Delta, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui in batches.

In the future, it will be extended to Dafeng, Suzhou Gaoxin, Zhangjiagang, Yangzhou and other coastal ports along the river as planned.

According to statistics, the entire transportation time of the Yangshan-Wuhu Port "linked pickup and unloading" mode is about 48 hours on average, which saves nearly half of the time compared to other modes.

According to the consignor's calculation, compared with the traditional water-water transfer mode, the "linkage pick-up and unload" mode can save 400 yuan in logistics cost per TEU for export, and 200 yuan per TEU for import, and enterprises can enjoy real dividends.

In 2021, a total of 271,000 TEUs will be exported and 22,000 TEUs will be imported through the joint unloading mode, further highlighting the status of Shanghai Port as a shipping hub.
