On January 4th, the digital RMB (pilot version) APP was launched in major mobile application malls. Although the digital RMB APP is still limited to use in pilot cities, residents of non-pilot cities can also download the APP in the application mall. Although it cannot be used, it is still available. It attracted a lot of onlookers, and the downloads increased sharply.

The digital renminbi (pilot version) APP was officially launched, indicating that the pilot exploration of the digital renminbi is coming to an end, and the digital renminbi wallet application model has basically taken shape.

We are getting closer and closer to the real digital renminbi era.

The digital renminbi is about to be fully implemented, and the most important goal of its implementation is to popularize it. Only by popularizing the digital renminbi can it play its due effect. The central bank created this payment tool itself to make it easy for ordinary people to use it.

So, in the process of popularization and promotion of digital renminbi, what can be done to speed up the popularization of digital renminbi?

In my opinion, it should focus on the following points:

First, in the process of promoting the application of digital renminbi, it is necessary to emphasize the simplification of the payment process and improve the usability and convenience of digital renminbi.

The current digital renminbi APP has landed in major mobile application malls, which itself is to allow ordinary people to obtain digital renminbi payment tools in the most convenient way.

After the digital RMB wallet is fully implemented in the future, it will be further optimized and improved. I personally think that the main direction of optimization and improvement should be to improve the usability of the digital RMB APP.

In the past, in the process of promoting mobile payment applications, some Internet companies have repeatedly emphasized that in the payment tool, all functions should not be clicked more than six times, because more than six times will give people a cumbersome experience, which is not conducive to the popularization of the application. .

Personally, I believe that digital RMB can also refer to this design principle, and on the premise of ensuring security, we will try our best to improve the usability of digital RMB.

Improving ease of use is to improve user experience, which is also the essential feature of digital renminbi. From cash to digital renminbi itself is to improve ease of use.

Second, to promote the development of digital renminbi by way of scene embedding.

Digital RMB is not just a payment tool, it will also promote the upgrading of digital application scenarios.

As an embedded tool for financial payment functions, digital renminbi not only meets the payment needs of users, but also needs to consider the expansion of financial scenarios.

For commercial banks, digital renminbi may become an important opportunity.

The digital renminbi can help banks expand new financial scenarios, such as supply chain finance, unmanned retail, etc., so that commercial banks can provide more diversified financial services in the future, which also objectively improves the enthusiasm of financial institutions.

Third, promote the development of digital renminbi by means of aggregated payment.

Aggregate payment, that is, integrating multiple payment tools with a set of payment equipment.

Digital renminbi will also bring opportunities for payment institutions, and merchants can upgrade and integrate digital renminbi payment functions into existing equipment.

Aggregated payment can reduce the conversion cost of merchants and lower the threshold for merchants to enter, thereby rapidly increasing the popularity of digital RMB merchants.

Fourth, realize diversified payment methods for different groups of people.

Digital renminbi needs to include the aging population into the scope of digital renminbi use, in order to expand the population of digital renminbi users and promote digital inclusiveness.

For example, cards can be considered to promote the popularization of digital renminbi with a shopping card payment mode familiar to the elderly, and more advanced payment technologies can be used to help special groups, such as zero-operated identification and payment.

Fifth, use online to drive offline.

The digital renminbi is to replace cash, so the core application of the current digital renminbi is offline, but if the digital renminbi is to be popularized rapidly, a wider online payment channel is the best way for the rapid popularization of the digital renminbi.

In the future, the online application scenarios of digital renminbi will become the main way to expand the digital renminbi ecosystem.

Compared with offline payment, online payment has fewer restrictions and higher convenience.

To sum up, the most important thing to popularize digital renminbi is to pay attention to user experience. If conditions permit, financial institutions can consider setting up a digital renminbi after-sales service department.

The full implementation of digital renminbi is approaching. It is not only a payment tool, but also carries other tasks, such as expanding financial scenarios, such as optimizing the payment experience of ordinary people, such as protecting the information security of ordinary people.

But before that, the first priority after the implementation of the digital renminbi is still to popularize, and only by popularization can other goals be achieved.

The core of popularization is to optimize the user experience and make users feel easy to use. This is the real success of the digital renminbi.
