China News Service, Nanjing, January 8 (Xu Shanshan) In the past few days, Yangzhou, Huai'an and other places in Jiangsu found that the nucleic acid test results of imported pitaya were positive.

On January 6, 2022, the Jiangdu District Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Yangzhou City conducted an emergency nucleic acid test on imported fruits, and found that the surface and outer packaging of dragon fruits imported from Vietnam sold by China Resources Suguo (Jinniuwan Store) were weakly positive.

After investigation, China Resources Suguo Supermarkets (Jinniuwan Store and Yinjiang Store) in Jiangdu District have this batch of dragon fruit for sale, with a cumulative sales of 316 kilograms.

At present, all the dragon fruits in stock in this batch have been sealed, and the relevant environment has been sterilized.

As of 17:00 on January 7, 152 samples of relevant personnel have been sampled and tested, and the results are all negative.

On the 8th, Huai'an District, Lianshui County, and Jinhu County of Huai'an City successively notified that on January 7, they received information from Nanjing City's investigation that a batch of pitaya imported from Vietnam was tested positive for the new coronavirus nucleic acid in Yangzhou City.

After investigation, batches of dragon fruit involved in the epidemic were sent to many places from Nanjing on December 30, 2021 and January 3, 2022.

The notice stated that in order to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, citizens who purchased or had contact with dragon fruit in the relevant time period and place should stop eating it immediately.

At the same time, take personal protection, wait at home, avoid contact with other people, and report in time.

Are fruits that test positive contagious?

According to the Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, new coronary pneumonia is not a food-borne disease, and the risk of infection is extremely low for people who eat fruit. There is no need to panic, but they should take precautions.

A series of groups of people who have direct contact with imported and exported goods, such as logistics workers and stevedores, are high-risk groups and must be protected in accordance with the prevention and control measures for key groups.
