Fujitsu announced that it will raise the price of servers used for data management by about 10% due to the rise in the price of parts due to the global shortage of semiconductors.

Price increases are spreading not only to food products but also to information and communication equipment.

Fujitsu will raise the price of servers for corporations used for computer data management, and the price of the product itself is eight models from 20,000 yen to 800,000 yen.

In addition to raising the price by about 10% from the order received on the 3rd of next month, the price of some related devices such as CPUs that improve server functions will also be raised.

The reasons are that the prices of parts are rising due to the shortage of semiconductors and soaring raw material prices, and that the distribution costs are continuing to rise.

The company commented, "In the past efforts to reduce costs, maintaining the price of the product is the limit. We are planning to raise the price sequentially overseas such as Europe and Asia."

Price increases for food products are occurring one after another due to soaring raw material prices and rising distribution costs, but they are also expanding into the field of information and telecommunications equipment due to the effects of semiconductor shortages.
