The general manager of the "Apple" group, Tim Cook, received a total amount of $ 98.73 million last year in the form of salaries, incentives and shares, at a record level achieved by the American who celebrated his tenth year at the head of the information giant in 2021.

This number represents an increase of nearly 570% compared to 2020, according to a document submitted Thursday to the American Stock Exchange Supervisory Authority.

The bulk of the amount ($82.35 million) is made up of shares provided by Apple to Tim Cook, who also received $12 million in recognition of exceeding the group's internal financial goals.

As for Cook's annual base salary, it has not changed compared to previous years and remains at three million dollars.

“Apple” is achieving strong results on the Wall Street Stock Exchange, as the two crossed the threshold of three thousand billion dollars of capital, in a precedent in the history of the stock exchange, before falling below this level.

The giant group has benefited again in 2021 from the strong sales of its most famous product, “iPhone”, with the end of 2020 launching the first model that works with fifth generation technology, and after that new models last September.

The document, sent to the Stock Exchange, showed that Apple's stock rose by 1174% since Cook took office in the company in 2011 until the end of September 2021.

Forbes estimates Tim Cook's personal fortune at one and a half billion dollars, which is much lower than the fortunes of the heads of other giant companies.

This ranking is dominated by Tesla President Elon Musk with an estimated fortune of $271.5 billion, followed by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos with $189.1 billion.
