Due to the increasing demand for electricity due to the severe cold, TEPCO requested other electric power companies to accommodate electricity for the first time this winter in order to secure a stable supply.

Due to the severe cold weather, the demand for electricity is increasing in various places, such as the increasing use of heating in homes and businesses.

Of these, within the jurisdiction of TEPCO, the "usage rate," which indicates the ratio of demand to the power supply capacity, is 95% in the 11:00 am range.

Furthermore, during the time period from 5 pm to 6 pm when demand is expected to peak, the usage rate is expected to be 96% and the supply and demand of electricity is expected to be severe.

For this reason, TEPCO requested other electric power companies to accommodate electricity for the first time this winter in order to secure a stable supply.

As of 1:00 pm, the peak usage rate on the 6th is expected to be 91% within the jurisdiction of Hokkaido Electric Power Company and 90% within the jurisdiction of Tohoku Electric Power Company. In response to the instructions of the "organization", we started to accommodate TEPCO.
