On January 4, the construction of the G3 Tongling Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge started.
This newly built bridge, with a total investment of 8.78 billion yuan, is the largest investment project in Tongling since its establishment as a city.
By then, there will be a fourth cross-river passage on the 134.4-kilometer section of Tongling of the Yangtze River.
The G3 Bridge has a total length of 11.88 kilometers. It starts at Huayuan Village, Chenyaohu Town, Tongling City, Anhui Province, and ends at Minzhu Village, Datong Town, Tongling City. Both ends are connected to the G3 Beijing-Taiwan Expressway. The railway crosses the river, and the highway-rail joint construction section is about 2.68 kilometers long and is constructed in accordance with the standard of four-lane railway + six-lane highway.
Four years later, flying from north to south, majestic and majestic, 720 meters upstream of the Tongling Yangtze River Highway Bridge, a "world-class" bridge will become another thoroughfare across the sky, adding a new landmark to the bronze capital.

It is an important project for Tongling to gain a foothold in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and accelerate its integration into the Hefei Metropolitan Area and the Yangtze River Delta.
After its completion, it will be of great significance for building the Hetong Development Belt, comprehensively advancing the construction of the Southern Anhui International Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone, accelerating the realization of coordinated regional economic development, strengthening the Yangtze River Delta connectivity, and building a modern comprehensive transportation system.
