The government announced on Monday an increase in aid for companies affected by the health restrictions. The bases for triggering this device have been broadened and "all companies which have lost 65% of their turnover" will be eligible for reimbursement of the partial activity at 100% without any remaining charges.

From the start of the school year on Monday, the Minister of the Economy Bruno Lemaire received the representatives of the sectors affected by the new restrictive measures linked to the health crisis.

Those in cafes and bars in particular, where consumption while standing is now prohibited, as in cinemas, theaters, sports facilities or public transport.

He also confirmed the return to partial activity and the extension of the system for covering fixed costs with lowered ceilings.

A reference month distorted according to some

Partial unemployment will in fact be fully covered for companies which have lost at least 65% of their turnover.

In addition, the fixed costs support system will be triggered from a 50% loss in turnover.

A ceiling that remains too high according to the president of the GNI, the national group of independent hotel and catering, Didier Chenet.

"As you take as a reference the month of December 2019, which had been a month disrupted by social events, this is not enough. We must lower this percentage and we propose it to 30%", he explains.

Simplification of the declaration

Those who will be compensated will in any case be more quickly, in a few days even, promises Bercy, especially when the amount is less than 50,000 euros.

The declaration will also be simplified, a procedure welcomed by the president of CCI France, Pierre Goguet.

"I think that we will have an online declaration system which will make it possible to have files quickly released and financed," he hopes.

Finally Bruno Le Maire has undertaken to work on the path of exemption from charges and the staggering of the repayment of loans guaranteed by the State.
