  The reporter learned from the China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. that in the past month, the maximum number of mobile trains operated on the China section of the China-Laos Railway reached 31.5 pairs per day, which departed every 30 minutes on average. The number of passengers sent in a single day was 19,000 at the time of opening. The number of passengers increased to a maximum of 33,000, and a total of 620,000 passengers were sent; the demand for passengers on the Laos section to travel on the "Lan Cang" is very strong, and the passenger flow on weekends and holidays is booming. The number of passengers sent in a single day has increased from 1,000 at the time of opening to a maximum of more than 2,600 The total number of passengers sent was 50,000.

  The opening and operation of the China-Laos Railway has also established a convenient logistics channel between China and ASEAN. The entire freight train from Kunming, China to Vientiane, Laos, takes only 30 hours at the fastest. The transportation time and cost are significantly reduced compared with roads, which is an economic trade between China and ASEAN. The cooperation has injected new momentum, allowing more companies to enjoy the opportunities and dividends brought by the China-Laos Railway.

  It is reported that since the opening of the China-Laos Railway, a total of 380 freight trains have been operated, sending 170,000 tons of cargo.

Among them, 70 international freight trains sent more than 50,000 tons of cargo.

More than 10 provinces and cities in China, including Shandong, Zhejiang, Chongqing, Jiangsu, and Guangdong, have successively opened international freight trains to cities such as Vientiane, Laos via the China-Laos Railway. Up to 6 international freight trains can be operated in a single day.

  In addition, the categories of goods continue to increase, expanding from rubber, fertilizers, and department stores in the initial opening to electronics, photovoltaics, communications, automobiles, textiles, vegetables, flowers and other products.

With the formal entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), the freight volume of China-Laos railway will continue to grow steadily.
