Authoritative interview | Let the robot "+" out of the new world of manufacturing in China-interpretation of the "Fourteenth Five-Year" Robot Industry Development Plan by the heads of relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

The "Fourteenth Five-Year" Robot Industry Development Plan issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other departments and units recently proposed that by 2025, my country will become a global robot technology innovation source, high-end manufacturing cluster and integrated application center. High ground.

How to make breakthroughs in a batch of core robot technologies and high-end products, and how to make robots lead the intelligent development?

The reporter interviewed the heads of relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology a few days ago to respond to hot issues in the robotics industry.

"Two steps" to promote the high-quality development of the robotics industry

The research, development, manufacturing, and application of robots are important indicators to measure the level of technological innovation and high-end manufacturing in a country.

During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the scale of my country's robotics industry has grown rapidly. In 2020, its operating income will exceed 100 billion yuan, and the density of manufacturing robots will be nearly twice the global average.

At present, the new generation of information technology, biotechnology, etc. are deeply integrated with robotics, and the robotics industry is ushering in a window period for upgrading and leaping development. It is crucial to accelerate breakthroughs in weak links and promote the industry to move toward the high-end.

Wang Weiming, Director of the Equipment Industry Department I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the plan is based on the high-quality development of the robotics industry, from the perspectives of technology, scale, application, and ecology, and puts forward the development goals of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and even longer in the "two steps" .

"Achieving development goals cannot be accomplished overnight. We are'two-way force' from both sides of supply and demand." Wang Weiming said that the plan is to consolidate the industrial foundation, strengthen the key core technologies of robots, and supplement special materials, core components, and processing techniques. Other shortcomings; focus on enhancing product supply, facing the needs of key industries, gathering superior resources, promoting the development of high-end robot products, expanding robot product series and types; focusing on expanding market applications, promoting the development of typical robot application scenarios, and optimizing the industrial ecology.

In order to ensure the implementation of various tasks, four actions including "Robot Core Technology Research Action", "Robot Key Foundation Improvement Action", "Robot Innovation Product Development Action", and "'Robot +'Application Action" have been planned and deployed.

Wang Weiming said that the plan will focus on improving the innovation capabilities of the robotics industry, speed up the resolution of insufficient technology accumulation, weak industrial foundations, and lack of high-end supplies, and promote the high-quality development of the robotics industry.

Problem-oriented, focus on weak links and precise support

"During the '13th Five-Year Plan' period, in order to consolidate the foundation for the development of the robotics industry, we have carried out a series of work in three aspects: making up for shortcomings, establishing standards, and improving inspection capabilities." Wang Weiming said, precision reducers, high-performance servo drive systems, etc. The technological level and industrialization capabilities continue to improve, but in terms of the supply of high-end parts and components, it has not yet been able to meet the needs of the rapidly developing industry.

He said that in order to accelerate the improvement of the basic capabilities of the robotics industry, the plan is to make relevant deployments from three aspects.

One is to make up for shortcomings in industrial development.

Focus on complementing the shortcomings of special materials, core components, and processing techniques.

The second is to strengthen the construction of the standard system.

The third is to improve testing and certification capabilities, and improve quality and reliability.

Cultivating and expanding high-quality enterprises is also an important measure to strengthen the chain.

According to the data from Tianyan Check, there are more than 339,000 robot-related companies in my country. In the past five years, the registration growth rate of new robot-related companies has increased.

The plan is clear, and strive to form a group of internationally competitive leading companies and a large number of innovative, high-growth, specialized and new "little giant" companies by 2025, and build 3 to 5 industries with international influence Cluster.

Wang Hong, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Department I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that a group of specialized and special new "little giant" enterprises will be built in the areas of complete robots, parts and system integration, and key enterprises will be encouraged to join supporting enterprises to speed up precision gears and lubrication. Research and development, engineering verification and iterative upgrades of grease and encoders.

Focus on the market and implement the "Robot +" application action

The plan is clear, the implementation of the "robot +" application action will promote the development of typical application scenarios for robots.

Wang Hong said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, it will face the needs of industrial transformation and consumption upgrades, deepen industry applications, expand emerging applications, and strengthen characteristic applications.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has made it clear that in areas where large-scale applications have been formed, such as automobiles, electronics, machinery, etc., it will focus on the development and promotion of new robot products, and further promote intelligent manufacturing and intelligent life.

In areas where initial applications and potential demand are relatively strong, such as mining, agriculture, power, etc., combined with specific scenarios, carry out pilot demonstrations.

In specific sub-scenarios, links and fields, professional and customized solutions are formed and replicated and promoted.

It is worth mentioning that in terms of industrial robots, the focus is on the development of high-precision and high-reliability welding robots for the automotive, aerospace and other fields, vacuum (clean) robots for the semiconductor industry, and collaborative robots for auto parts and other fields. .

In terms of service robots, the focus is on the development of agricultural robots such as orchard weeding, precision plant protection, picking and harvesting, mining robots such as mining and inspection, medical rehabilitation robots such as surgery and nursing, and public service robots including guidance and distribution.

"We will promote the integration and application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, and big data, and improve the level of robot intelligence and networking." Wang Hong said.
