The added value of patent-intensive industries is calculated in accordance with the income method.

The basic data required for accounting mainly comes from the national economic census data, relevant professional statistical data of the National Bureau of Statistics and national economic accounting data, etc.

  In 2020, from the perspective of internal structure, the new equipment manufacturing industry has the largest scale, with an added value of 3,419.4 billion yuan, accounting for 28.2% of the added value of patent-intensive industries; next is the information and communication technology service industry, with an added value of 2641.5 billion yuan. The proportion was 21.8%, rising from the third place in the total amount of the previous year to the second place; the third is the information and communication technology manufacturing industry, with an added value of 2417.7 billion yuan, accounting for 19.9%; the smallest scale is the environmental protection industry, The added value was 274.8 billion yuan, accounting for 2.3%.

  In terms of growth rate, the information and communication technology service industry grew by 15.7%, the fastest growth.

Driven by factors such as strong domestic and foreign demand for anti-epidemic products and increased production arrangements by enterprises, the growth rate of the pharmaceutical and medical industry has accelerated, increasing by 10.1%, an increase of 4.7 percentage points over the previous year.
