  The full name of RCEP is the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement." On November 15, 2020, the 10 ASEAN countries and 15 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia formally signed the agreement.

On January 1, 2022, the agreement will be the first to take effect in 10 member states.

  According to the organizer, the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, in order to lead the province to make preparations for the RCEP to take effect, seize opportunities, and share policy dividends, Hebei will start a one-year "RCEP Yan Zhaoxing" event, through the organization of policy announcements, Carry out a series of activities such as project docking and holding high-end forums to further intensify the exchange and cooperation between Hebei and RCEP member countries, share business opportunities and seek common development.

  Statistics show that Hebei has a sound foundation for economic and trade cooperation with the member states of RCEP, and has great potential for development.

In 2020, the total import and export volume of Hebei Province and RCEP member countries reached 163.23 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), an increase of 11.8%, accounting for 37.0% of the province's total import and export volume.

In the first three quarters of 2021, the total import and export volume of Hebei Province and RCEP member countries reached 147.36 billion yuan, an increase of 22.1% year-on-year, accounting for 37.0% of the province's total import and export volume.

  Chen Yanbao, deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, stated that Hebei is currently experiencing major historical opportunities such as the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the planning and construction of the Xiongan New Area, and the preparation of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. These overlapping opportunities and superior conditions are Hebei's development has brought strong momentum and huge advantages.

Hebei will accelerate the integration of RCEP regional development, and also provide a broad stage for the majority of merchants to invest in Hebei.
