The ship and its crew were received by a number of DB World Group officials, who presented a commemorative shield to the captain of the tanker, Tsanganenko Ruslan.

The choice of Kaesu Line for the Jebel Ali Port terminal is due to its strategic importance as a vital link in the global trade network linking the markets of the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Kaesu Line launched its first voyage via the new (KPG) shipping line from Indonesia to the ports of the Indian subcontinent and the Arabian Gulf.

The line includes Jakarta (Indonesia), Nhava Sheva (India), Karachi (Pakistan), Jebel Ali (UAE) and Dammam (Saudi Arabia), which contributes to a direct link to and from Indonesia through Jebel Ali Port, which is an important transshipment center.

More ships and tankers are scheduled to join the new shipping line during 2022, as a weekly departure trip will be launched from the ports located on the shipping line’s path, in order to expand the size of the market linking it from Southeast Asia to the Middle East.

Abdullah bin Demaithan, CEO and General Manager of dbworld UAE and Jafza, said that Jebel Ali Port has become the largest transshipment center in the Middle East, and has become one of the most docking ports for many international shipping companies, considering that The arrival of the first Kaesu Line ship is a strong indication of the steady growth of DB World's business portfolio and customers' confidence in its capabilities.

He added that the new shipping line and its schedule of operations, expected to expand in 2022, will support the recent economic agreement between the UAE and Indonesia, which will advance economic development and recovery from the pandemic.

For his part, General Manager of Kaesu Line Container Shipping Company, Billy Iskandar, said that Indonesia is witnessing rapid growth as a result of the effective investment opportunities and policies adopted by the government, in addition to the multiple bilateral relations that the country has established worldwide.
