The Sustainable City, the first fully sustainable community in its category in the Middle East, has launched a group of homes for short stays within The Sustainable City in Dubai.

A statement issued yesterday said that the residential group, which includes 51 housing units, offers visitors, residents and tourists from all over the world, an environmentally friendly life experience, and an exceptional opportunity to enjoy a quiet residence in Dubai in a community that has a low carbon footprint.

According to the statement, the studio units are designed to the highest standards of sustainability, using high-quality insulation materials, and are powered by renewable energy produced by solar panels installed on the roof of each unit.

The "vacation homes" are completely free of any single-use plastic materials, and are provided with filtered drinking water, and they encourage recycling, as each unit is equipped with two bins: the first is for recyclable materials, and the second is for storing waste and other waste.

All units are also equipped with bathrooms with low consumption water flow systems, and a water and energy saving washing machine, while environmentally friendly cleaning products will be used in the housekeeping service.

The "vacation homes" allow guests to monitor their energy consumption throughout their stay, through an energy measurement system located in each room.
