According to the company, some lines will be in operation from the 13th to the 15th of this month at the "Tahara Plant" in Aichi Prefecture, which produces the luxury brand Lexus, and the "Miyata Plant" in Toyota Motor Kyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. It means to stop.



Of these, the Tahara Plant was scheduled to start operations on the 18th and 25th of this month, which is a holiday, but it will be canceled on some lines.

Regarding the reason, the company says that the influence of the new corona has been prolonged for parts suppliers in Southeast Asia, and production has been delayed in some parts and distribution is congested, resulting in a continuing shortage of parts.



This week as well, some lines have been shut down for several days at the two plants, which means that the number of units affected by production will be 9,000 when combined with the number from next week onwards.
