The Volkswagen Group is coming under increasing pressure in terms of sales, mainly because of the lack of chips.

In November, the international deliveries of the largest European carmaker slipped by 31.5 percent to 616,300 vehicles compared to the same month last year, as the Dax company announced on Friday in Wolfsburg.

This means that there is now a decrease of 1.7 percent to 8.17 million vehicles for the year as well.

So far, VW had still been positive compared to the same period of the previous year due to the very weak performance in 2020 due to the corona, despite a few very weak months.

For the year as a whole, VW is still aiming for deliveries of around 9 million vehicles after 9.3 million last year.

In November, the core brand VW Pkw as well as Audi and Skoda each delivered a good third fewer cars than a year earlier.

At Seat it was a minus of a fifth, just as it was for light commercial vehicles.

Of the major brands, only Porsche was able to keep the figures more or less stable with a small minus of 0.3 percent.

The sports car manufacturer is the return pearl in the group.

The heavy commercial vehicle brands MAN and Scania recorded declines in the mid to high single-digit percentage range.
