After six months of reopening, the 1,200 nightclubs in France are closing again for four weeks.

A decision taken by the government to try to curb the 5th wave.

A decision hardly accepted by the revelers, who took advantage of their last night on the dance floor.

Back to square one for the 1,200 nightclubs in France.

After barely six months of opening, they closed this morning for the next four weeks minimum.

A decision taken this week by the government to deal with the fifth wave of the epidemic.

Thursday, 56,800 new cases of Covid were identified in 24 hours.

No reopening for boxes before 2022

Nightclubs: a place where the risk of contamination is exploding, according to the Institut Pasteur. Plus 790% for those under 40. That's twice as much as at a private party. Thursday evening was the last night for the clubbers, therefore, who are happily enjoying these last minutes. But behind the bursts of laughter, there is still weariness and a touch of sadness. 

"It hurts because in Paris, we live a little for the terraces, for the atmosphere, for the evenings. And seeing the nightclubs close makes a little pang in the heart, it's a little sad, "says a young party girl.

"We said to ourselves that we absolutely had to [party] even if tomorrow we have lessons and we have exams. But that's not serious. It's the last, we must take advantage of it", adds a young student who agrees.

During these four weeks, the celebration can be done with friends and family during the coming Christmas celebrations.

But, for a possible return to the dance floor, it will be necessary to wait at least until the beginning of 2022.
