To prevent Corona, the number of people who can gather again from this week has decreased, and the number of places that can only be visited with a quarantine pass has increased. Each store has their concerns, but it is said that there are a lot of complaints, especially from stores without staff and unmanned stores.

Reporter Hoon-Kyung Jang covered the scene.

<Reporter> This

is a coin karaoke room in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

It used to be an unmanned business, but now it is guarded by people from 9 am to midnight.

This is because, due to the government's expanded application of the quarantine pass, users must directly check whether 14 days have passed since the second vaccination or whether those who have not been vaccinated have a PCR-negative certificate.

I couldn't handle it alone, so I finally hired a part-timer.

Complaints about government guidelines don't end there.

The idea is that the manager is permanently resident and can't even eat inside the store.

[Kyung Ho-hyun / Coin karaoke owner: I deliver it, so I go to the corner and eat in the warehouse or management office.] The

same goes for unmanned study cafes.

Store owners who tried to save labor costs and run two jobs with unmanned stores burst into anger.

[Kim Jung-woo / CEO of Unmanned Study Cafe: (The store owner) came out, but most of the unmanned industries are doing it because of 'two jobs' (side jobs other than the main job). And the cost of labor continues to rise.]

The business owner-centered punishment policy is also being opposed by the self-employed.

Users who violate the quarantine pass are subject to a fine of 100,000 won or less, because store owners are subject to a maximum fine of 3 million won and business suspension.

[Oh Se-hee / President of the Federation of Small Businesses: Strongly urged to shift the responsibility of the quarantine pass to individual parties, not small business owners and self-employed people, while opposing the enforcement-oriented, unreasonable application of the quarantine pass...

.]

Small business owners emphasized the need for compensation for losses as well as labor costs and equipment installation costs due to the strengthening of the quarantine pass.
