Etihad Airways unveils new Formula 1 uniforms designed by Emirati hands

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and title sponsor of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, has revealed the 2021 Formula 1 uniforms, ahead of this season's race finals.

The race, in which the world champion will be decided, begins on Sunday, December 12.

The choice of Emirati fashion designer, Yara Bin Shukr, to design the new uniform was a move by Etihad Airways to present Abu Dhabi with all its civilization, culture and art to the world.

A team of cabin crew will wear the new uniforms at Paddock Club and Yas Marina Circuit, in Abu Dhabi.

The designer chose the elegant black color, which symbolizes eternity, to be the dominant color on the outfit, which in turn was designed in the form of a sports jumpsuit that extends from the shoulders to the feet, cut by a belt carrying contrasting shapes to reflect the Yas Marina Circuit, with embroideries on the belt very close to the embroideries The traditional Emirati and bearing the colors of Etihad Airways.

Emirati fashion designer, Yara Bin Shakar, is known for being practical, elegant and conservative.

Yara graduated from the University of Sharjah with a degree in Fashion and Textiles in 2013. Together with her business partner, she opened her shop, House of 45, showing off her designs and other designs by local brands from the UAE.
