(Economic Observation) "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" and "5G+Industrial Internet" help China's manufacturing become smarter

China News Service, Beijing, December 8 (Reporter Liu Yuying) During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's industrial Internet will enter a new stage of deep industrial cultivation and empowerment from the initial stage of exploration, which will bring quality to the manufacturing industry. leap.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China issued the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Information and Communication Industry", which included the Industrial Internet and the "5G + Industrial Internet" as an important integrated infrastructure.

The plan proposes that by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", a high-quality industrial Internet network covering all regions and industries will be basically completed, and a batch of "5G + Industrial Internet" benchmarks will be created.

Why can "5G+Industrial Internet" help China's manufacturing transform to China's intelligent manufacturing?

Wu Hequan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that the characteristics of 5G such as wide coverage, large bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability are suitable for industrial Internet applications. Feedback and implementation in one time.

Yu Xiaohui, president of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, said that 5G is not only an information transmission technology that supports multiple application scenarios, but also constitutes a new generation of information and communication technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing that will enable the digital transformation of industries. Digital technology cluster.

At present, the R16 and R17 standards of 5G have been released one after another. With the acceleration of the industrialization process, the application potential of 5G in the industrial field will be greatly released.

Li Yong, former director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, believes that "5G + Industrial Internet" represents the most potential development direction of digital technology and will make the industrial Internet scene a commercial reality for the first time.

At present, China has gained some experience in the development of "5G + Industrial Internet".

Wang Peng, deputy director of the Information and Communication Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said in a recent interview with the media that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, China's "5G + Industrial Internet" network, platform, and security three functional systems have been steadily advancing.

Specifically, there are more than 1,800 "5G+Industrial Internet" projects under construction; the top-level nodes and 158 second-level nodes in the five major countries have been online for logo analysis, with a total number of logo registrations of nearly 60 billion; more than 100 influential industrial Internet platforms, The number of connected devices exceeds 76 million sets.

China already has a first-mover advantage in 5G networks.

As of the end of October this year, China has built a total of 1.291 million 5G base stations, covering all cities and urban areas above the prefecture level in the country, and has built the world's largest 5G network.

5G enterprise private networks, identification analysis systems, IPv6, etc. are all in rapid development.

China's industrial system has a wide range of categories, and its application scenarios are also very rich.

"5G+Industrial Internet" has extensively served 22 important industries in the national economy, including mining, electric power, and electronic equipment.

In the mining industry, as of the end of 2020, China has built more than 400 intelligent mining working faces, 19 coal mine robots are used underground, and 71 coal mines have been included in the country's first batch of intelligent demonstration coal mines.

Yu Xiaohui said that after adopting new information methods such as 5G, coal mine production efficiency will increase by 20% to 30%.

According to calculations with a daily output of 10,000 tons and 600 yuan per ton of coal (RMB, the same below), the average annual efficiency increase of the company will reach 400 million yuan.

Another example is the smart mining solution provided by Shanxi Unicom to Taigang Daixian Mining Company by Inspur to realize the public and private network integration mode of hybrid networking and base station sharing between different vendors, helping the company increase production efficiency by 25% and reduce underground labor costs by 18 %.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the second batch of "5G + Industrial Internet" typical application scenarios and key industry practices.

On the basis of the first batch of scenarios, the second batch is extended to production unit simulation, precise dynamic operation, production energy efficiency control, process compliance verification, production process traceability, equipment predictive maintenance, factory intelligent tally, global logistics monitoring, and virtual on-site Services, enterprise collaboration and other scenarios.

The "14th Five-Year Plan" period is a critical period for the development of "5G + Industrial Internet".

In the face of shortcomings in the industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has made arrangements in terms of facility construction, industrial foundation, integrated development, and safety assurance.

Promoting the deployment of "5G + Industrial Internet" in vertical industries is one of the development priorities.

Wang Peng said that it is necessary to promote industrial Internet pilot demonstrations, promote typical application scenarios of "5G + Industrial Internet", build industrial Internet industry demonstration bases, and promote industrial Internet to empower the digital, networked, and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the real economy.

The "Plan" also puts forward specific requirements to promote the formation of about 200 pilot demonstrations of integrated applications with industry characteristics for subdivisions, and to create a batch of "5G + Industrial Internet" benchmarks.
