Of all the vehicles tested during the Autobest Challenge which took place in Spain, none reached the WLTP range figures announced by the manufacturers.
However, several models have come close.
This is the case of the Dacia Spring, best student with a result of around 98.67% of the claimed range, of the Kia e-Niro (95.24%), of the Hyundai Kona (92 , 28%), the Mazda MX-30 (91.66%) and the Opel Corsa-e (90.19%).
The European journalists who take part in this test applied themselves to driving until the breakdown: they could note that the electric vehicles still had a range of between 14 and 37.8 km when they display 0 km remaining.
Regarding consumption, it is still the Dacia Spring (12.1 kWh / 100 km) which is doing well thanks to its contained mass.
It is followed by the Hyundai Kona (14.3 kWh / 100 km) and the Fiat 500e (14.7 kWh / 100 km).
Regardless, the testers have seen an overall improvement in the matter over the past 3 years, proving that the technology is evolving positively and that progress will not stop there.
They estimate that the consumption of electric cars should be between 10 and 12 kWh / 100 km in 2025.
