The Civil Aviation Administration and COMAC have carried out five integration tasks of "concept integration, talent integration, service integration, standard integration, and work integration", and issued a special work plan to support the comprehensive integration and reform of domestic civil aircraft operations.

Since the airworthiness certification of the C919 project was launched in 2010, the Civil Aviation Administration has comprehensively coordinated resources, strictly enforced airworthiness standards, and insisted on sincere service. It has invested more than 40,000 human resources in the review work.

Yang Zhenmei said that the development of large aircraft is an extremely complex project. Taking flight test as an example, a total of 3,273 test points have been planned to demonstrate compliance flight tests, and 276 test flight subjects have been approved. After hard work, 1694 test points have been completed. 34 certified flight test subjects, as well as a large number of flight tests such as natural icing, need to be completed. The professional review team of the Civil Aviation Administration is fully cooperating with the development work of COMAC to carry out airworthiness reviews.

Civil aircraft is a highly internationalized product. China has signed comprehensive bilateral agreements with the United States and Europe to mutually accept each other’s certified aviation products, creating a favorable bilateral policy environment for the export of domestic civil aircraft to the international market.

Yang Zhenmei said: "Just as the 737MAX8 aircraft must first obtain airworthiness approval from the FAA, and then apply for airworthiness approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, when the C919 is introduced to the international market in the future, it will be subject to the airworthiness approval of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. It must also go through the airworthiness review and approval of the imported civil aviation authority. We will also fully support the domestically-made civil aircraft to fly to the world according to the needs of the enterprise." (End)
