Ministry of Environment analyzed the ingredients of professional adhesives used by many eyelash extension companies.



A chemical called methyl methacrylate, which should not be found in the three most used products, was detected.



Substances that cause pain, itching, or allergic skin reactions.



In one of the three products, toluene, which causes contact dermatitis and conjunctivitis, was detected nearly three times the standard level.



It is not filtered out due to poor inspection of hazardous substances before sale.



Prohibited substances such as methyl methacrylate are permitted to be sold by issuing a notification number only if the manufacturer confirms that it has not been used.



Manufacturers only submit test results for content-restricted substances that can only be used below the standard value.
