China News Service, Yongchun, Fujian, December 2 (Kang Qingping) The launch ceremony of the export of Yongchun Mandarin Oranges to the United States was held on the 2nd in Yongchun County, Fujian Province, the "Hometown of Mandarin Oranges".

As the first cold processed agricultural product exported to the United States in the Fujian Customs District, the first batch of 50 tons of Yongchun Citrus is expected to arrive in the United States on the 6th of this month.

  "Yongchun Lugan is the'fruit of friendship' that Yongchun goes to the world and the world understands Yongchun." Lin Xiyan, secretary of the Yongchun County Party Committee, introduced that in the past year, the Yongchun County Party Committee and the county government have communicated with Quanzhou Customs and other relevant departments many times and established cooperation meetings. It is actively exploring the relevant inspection and quarantine standards for Yongchun’s agricultural products to enter the international market, especially the US market, and is fully recognized and meets the access conditions.

Recommended by the General Administration of Customs and confirmed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Yongchun Lukan has obtained a "passport" for export to the United States.

  It is reported that Jufu Fruit Co., Ltd., which exports this batch of Yongchun Citrus, has become China's first export enterprise of wide-skin citrus to the United States.

  As the famous "hometown of Chinese oranges", Yongchun is known as "the world's oranges see China, and Chinese oranges see Yongchun". The planting of oranges has a history of more than 80 years, and the existing planting area is about 52,100 mu.

Yongchun Lukan enjoys the reputation of "Oriental Fruit" and "Far East Orange King". It has been awarded more than 20 honors such as national and provincial famous brand agricultural products. Its output ranks among the best in the country, with an annual sales of more than 300,000 tons, and an annual export to Southeast Asia. 10,000 tons, the output value of the entire industry chain is close to 7 billion yuan.

  Lin Xiyan said that in the next step, Yongchun will use the export of oranges to the United States as an opportunity to expand the export channels of Yongchun's agricultural products and promote the transformation of a "large agricultural county" to a "strong agricultural county".

  It is understood that in April 2020, the General Administration of Customs issued Announcement No. 59, allowing five types of fresh citrus, including pomelo, ponkan and ponkan, to be exported to the United States that meet the "Phytosanitary Requirements for the Export of Chinese Fresh Citrus to the United States".

After many communications and consultations with Quanzhou Customs, the Yongchun County Party Committee and the County Government have received support from the General Administration of Customs. They have included the promotion of the export of Yongchun orange oranges to the U.S. market as a key practical project, and explored a rapid customs clearance model for agricultural products in Yongchun County. Yongchun Lukan was exported to the United States for work.
