"Abu Dhabi Community" launches the first online store of its kind in the region

The Abu Dhabi Community Cooperative announced the launch of its first project represented in the Co-operative E-Store, which is the first of its kind in the region, which is entirely based on cooperative principles, and aims to provide community services.

Abu Dhabi Community said in a statement that the store will be available to cooperative members during the first stage, and will open to the public during a future stage, explaining that registration in the cooperative will be free of charge for 30 days, starting from yesterday (December 2), by visiting the website: (abudhabicc.ae).

She added that the store, whose launch coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the Union, can be accessed through digital applications, indicating that the new store is based on principles that are the first of its kind in the region, which is to enable member shareholders to obtain the proceeds of their own purchases from the store, while using the returns. The rest is in strengthening the role of the economic and social cooperative, enhancing its financial position from the legal reserve, and contributing a certain percentage to social support through several other projects that will be announced soon.

According to the statement, the store will launch with 100,000 products in its first phase, while it will work continuously to increase their number and expand consumer options in order to reach one million products by the end of 2022. .

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Community Cooperative, Ali Al Salloum, stressed the cooperative’s endeavor to innovate ideas stemming from the societal and humanitarian interest, so that the e-shopping process through its platform takes into account the main interests on which the community is based, and supports the needs of members in light of contemporary challenges.
