Nippon-Ham, a major food manufacturer, announced that it will raise the price when delivering 424 items such as ham and sausage to customers and reduce the content in response to the soaring raw material prices.

"Nippon-Ham" announced that it will raise the price when delivering hams and sausages sold nationwide to customers.

It will be delivered from February 1st next year, and the range of price increase will be 5% to 12%.

Of these, the price of our main product, SCHAU ESSEN, will be increased by 7%.

The company says that this is because the purchase prices of beef and pork, which are raw materials, are soaring against the backdrop of rising global demand, as well as electricity and distribution costs.

In addition, depending on the product, we will take measures to reduce the content while keeping the price unchanged.

The number of products that raise the delivery price or reduce the content is 424, which is about 60% of all products handled by Nippon-Ham.

Nippon-Ham commented, "We have been rationalizing to absorb the increase in costs, but it was extremely difficult to absorb all of them."
