The "teeth" of cemented carbide have a honeycomb-like structure and are densely arranged on the special alloy composite roller sleeve.

These small pillars can easily "chew" rocks.

This is a column nail roller independently developed by Chengdu Lijun Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lijun Co., Ltd."), which has been widely used in the fields of cement building materials and metallurgical mines.

This new generation of wear-resistant roller surface independently developed by Chinese engineers has replaced similar roller surface products in Germany at the site of the first mine of Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Group Gold and Molybdenum Co., Ltd., and its service life has been increased by three times, which is currently the world's highest level.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a list of the sixth batch of manufacturing single champion enterprises (products), and the roller press produced by Lijun shares was selected.

The so-called roller press is an energy-saving equipment that grinds industrial raw materials to a target fineness. Compared with traditional ball mills, the output can be increased by 30% to 50%, and energy consumption can be greatly reduced.

"This product can be regarded as a subdivision equipment in the subdivision industry." said Ding Yazhuo, deputy general manager and chief engineer of Lijun shares.

Although it belongs to the subdivision field, the roller press is one of the core equipment in the cement building materials and metallurgical mining industries.

In 2018, the CCTV documentary "Great Power Heavy Equipment" once specifically told the story of the roller press.

Today, let’s take a look at how the "Great Power Weapon" is made?

From import and absorption to counter-trend overtake: a production line with a daily output of 10,000 tons of cement requires only one piece of equipment

Lijun Co., Ltd. was founded in Chengdu in 1999, focusing on the research and application of material grinding and sorting technology. It is a global solution provider for material grinding and sorting systems. Its roller presses are widely used Cement and building materials, metallurgy and mining, chemical industry and other industries.

In Ding Yazhuo's view, the development history of Lijun over 20 years is also the epitome of the development of China's equipment manufacturing industry over the past 20 years.

Statistics show that in the past 20 years, China's infrastructure construction has consumed 2.4 billion tons of cement each year, more than half of the global consumption.

China has more than 10 giant production lines with a daily output of 15,000 tons of cement. One of the core equipment of these "giant cement factories" is a roller press that can crush raw materials and clinker into fine powder.

However, initially the roller press mainly relied on imports.

In the 1990s, German roller presses were introduced to China.

"The equipment at that time could only meet the scale of a cement production line with an annual output of 200,000 to 300,000 tons." Ding Yazhuo introduced.

In 2002, Lijun shares launched the first equipment.

"We have upgraded German advanced products in accordance with the needs of the Chinese market, including large-scale ones, and gradually completed the transformation from R&D combined with the introduction of technology to R&D and innovation." Ding Yazhuo said, "One piece of equipment can meet the annual output of a single line of 60 10,000 tons of production capacity."

Nowadays, using the roller press developed by Lijun Co., Ltd., a production line with a daily output of 10,000 tons of cement can be satisfied with only one piece of equipment.

"From the point of view of large-scale, the current roller press of Lijun shares has achieved the world's largest high-end equipment in the field of iron ore grinding."

From manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing: owning 130 core independent intellectual property rights

In 2020, Lijun Co., Ltd. was rated as "Sichuan Province Energy-saving Grinding System Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center".

The center is located in the Lijun Shares Park, Wuke East 2nd Road, Wuhou District, Chengdu, and has many world-leading testing and testing equipment.

Customers send raw materials for small and mid-scale tests, and Lijun shares “tailor-made” designs according to customer needs.

"Made in China is transforming to smart manufacturing in China." Ding Yazhuo introduced that Lijun shares annual R&D investment accounted for more than 3% of operating income, and currently owns 130 core independent intellectual property rights, including 53 invention patents.

Ding Yazhuo took the Asia's largest underground iron ore mining and dressing project of a large state-owned enterprise this year as an example. Lijun successfully won the bid with a higher price-performance ratio.

"China's manufacturing industry is also going to the world." Ding Yazhuo mentioned that in 2019, German colleagues visited Lijun's production assembly base in Longquanyi District, Chengdu, and said: Lijun's production assembly base is the most functional they have ever seen. Complete roller press production workshop with the largest production capacity.

"They are amazed by China's intelligent manufacturing, saying that we have completed their 120-year development path in 20 years."

In 2020, Lijun Co., Ltd. began to deploy overseas intellectual property rights, applied for 5 PCT patents, and applied for 7 Lijun trademark registrations in 6 countries including the United States and Australia.

At present, Lijun has more than 1,700 roll presses on site, covering more than 30 countries and regions.

According to the statistics of China Building Material Machinery Industry Association, Lijun Roller Press has the top three market share in the world and the first in China.

From now to the future: the "dual carbon" strategy will bring major benefits

Although it belongs to the industry segment, Ding Yazhuo is very optimistic about the future.

Among many national strategic policy support, he specifically mentioned the "dual carbon" strategy.

"The'dual carbon' strategy has given us a major benefit." Ding Yazhuo mentioned that the cement, building materials, metallurgical and mining industries accounted for nearly 30% of the emission reduction tasks.

Taking the cement industry as an example, the "Energy Consumption Quota for Cement Unit Product" that will be implemented on November 1, 2022 supplements the energy consumption limit level. If the product of a cement manufacturer does not meet the first-level energy consumption standard, it must pass the technical Change to meet the standard, otherwise the company will face production suspension or power cuts.

"Policies force high-energy-consuming enterprises to carry out energy-saving technological transformation, and this is where our market lies."

At present, only in the domestic cement and building materials industry, the use of Lijun's energy-saving roller press grinding system equipment can save users more than 40 billion kWh of electricity and 4.9 million tons of standard coal each year, reducing carbon emissions by more than 13 million tons.

Ding Yazhuo revealed that the energy consumption of the new energy-saving grinding system equipment being developed by Lijun Co., Ltd. will be lower than the national first-level energy consumption standard of the cement and building materials industry.

From establishment to listing: Chengdu has a good business environment and a complete upstream and downstream industrial chain

Lijun shares is a native "made in Chengdu".

"Lijun shares have been rooted in Chengdu for more than 20 years, and the development from a company with more than 20 employees to a listed company is enough to prove that Chengdu has a good business environment." Ding Yazhuo said.

For example, in terms of talents, in recent years, Chengdu has been "building a nest to attract the phoenix."

"In Chengdu, we can easily find high-end talents for high-end manufacturing."

Lijun has a headquarters and R&D base covering nearly 100 acres in Wuhou District, Chengdu, and a production assembly base covering 100 acres in Longquanyi District. “These are the results of the support of various district governments in Chengdu.” Ding Yazhuo said.

"We can also find upstream and downstream partners very conveniently." Ding Yazhuo told reporters that in Chengdu, Lijun's downstream companies are located in Qingbaijiang, Dujiangyan and other places.

Expanding to the entire Sichuan, “Sichuan has many advantages in developing high-end equipment manufacturing.” Ding Yazhuo took the steel industry as an example. Sichuan has a complete upstream and downstream industrial chain that can achieve a virtuous circle.

From the upstream point of view, the steel manufacturing base in Panxi region provides various steel products for the equipment manufacturing industry, and Deyang has strong casting and forging capabilities, and there are also many supporting manufacturers around Sichuan that can complete various mechanical processing.

At the same time, Sichuan is also an important market for Lijun shares.

"Whether it is cement building materials or metallurgical mines, the energy-saving grinding equipment we produce can in turn serve the industry in Sichuan." Ding Yazhuo said.
