In November last year, the domestic mobile phone brand OPPO made the world's first roll-up screen concept machine at the Future Technology Conference, which aroused industry attention.
This scrolling screen concept machine is equipped with a stepless OLED flexible scrolling screen with a minimum of 6.7 inches and a maximum of 7.4 inches. By pushing the side buttons of the fuselage, the screen can be stretched like a scroll, showing a screen effect with almost zero crease.
In March of this year, the mobile phone manufacturer submitted a patent on the retractable screen to the World Intellectual Property Organization website. It can also be found on the domestic patent website that the brand has accumulated a considerable number of related patents on scroll screen technology.
Large portable screens are one of the development directions of mobile phone screens in the future. Folding screens are currently a relatively mature solution, but their lifespan, creases, battery life and other issues are also difficulties that manufacturers need to overcome one by one.
Recently, it is reported that OPPO plans to launch a number of new phones by the end of the year, including a folding screen phone code-named "Peacock".
The mobile phone screen material uses a new OLED flexible screen, which can be freely stretched and retracted smoothly. Compared with a folding screen mobile phone, the biggest advantage is that there will be no screen creases during use.
Different from the previously exposed scroll screen phones, the scroll screen phone codenamed Peacock uses a scroll up and down method. It is similar in size to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip flip-screen phone in a folded state, and is very small and portable overall.
It can be said that the scroll screen will bring a new hardware form, and the new adaptation of major apps means more possibilities. How many more interesting gameplays the scroll screen can bring is worth looking forward to.
