Customers of financial companies usually use several financial companies and leave transaction information with each company.

Deposits and withdrawals and loan information are kept in the bank, contract details and insurance premium payment details in insurance, and personal transaction information such as card payment details and points in credit card companies.

The service that collects and manages the scattered transaction information of individual customers is called 'My Data'.

Financial authorities explain that customized product recommendations for each individual are also possible by analyzing a wide range of information such as assets and consumption patterns through various customer transaction information such as banks, insurance, cards, and securities.

17 operators including 6 commercial banks We will start the pilot project tomorrow first, and about 50 companies will participate by the first half of next year.

Because we deal with sensitive financial information, we can only collect information that individual customers have given their consent to.

There are many points to be improved before full implementation.

There are many financial companies that have not yet built the basic infrastructure, so data compatibility between companies may be poor in the beginning.

In addition, overheating of companies is also a problem, as some banks have recently been given a warning from the authorities for offering a car with a market value of more than 70 million won as a gift as a pre-booking event.

Above all, legal and institutional arrangements must be made in relation to the content and procedures of information that can be exchanged between financial institutions.
