According to a media report, there could soon be a change at the top of Twitter's short message service.
Twitter boss Jack Dorsey is about to resign, reports the American business broadcaster “CNBC”, citing people who are familiar with the matter.
Dorsey currently also runs the mobile payment company Square.
Most recently, the entrepreneur was confronted with criticism from hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer, who questioned whether Dorsey should run both companies.
The Twitter share price increased by around ten percent on the report.
According to "CNBC", however, it is still unclear who at the top of Twitter could follow the company's long-time boss and co-founder.
An exact time has not yet been set either.
