45 speakers at the ASEAN Global Business Forum

The Dubai Chamber announced yesterday the list of speakers and participants in the activities of the first edition of the Global Business Forum for the “ASEAN” region 2021, which will start on the eighth of next December and will last for two days in partnership with “Expo 2020 Dubai” under the slogan “Cross-Border Economic Partnerships”. Which will witness the participation of ministers from ASEAN countries and more than 45 speakers in 25 discussion sessions.

The Chamber indicated in a statement that the list of the most prominent participants and speakers, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, Abdulaziz Al Ghurair, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of "Expo 2020 Dubai", Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Omar Sultan Al Ulama, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Director General of Dubai Chamber, Hamad Mubarak Buamim, Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Dato Lim Guk Hui, and Minister of Trade and Industry of the Philippines, Ramon Lopez.

Buamim said, "Attracting elite speakers from different countries of the world is an affirmation of confidence in the series of business forums organized by the Dubai Chamber."

He added that the ASEAN Global Business Forum constitutes a unique platform for businessmen and investors from the ASEAN region to communicate with their Emirati counterparts, as we will highlight the potential bilateral opportunities between Dubai and the UAE and the ASEAN region, and review prospects for growth and future cooperation between the two sides.

Speakers will address important topics, most notably the ASEAN region's recovery from the "Covid-19" pandemic, the rapid reconnection of global supply chains, and the growing digital landscape of the Association of "ASEAN" countries.

Speakers will also discuss the obstacles and challenges they face in relation to financial technology, the expansion of the topic of future technologies in general, and how to harness innovation to develop knowledge-based economies.
