Sharp declines in the Dubai market .. and the index falls more than 4% at the beginning of the session

The local stock markets fell sharply at the beginning of today's session, after the sharp declines that the global markets experienced at the end of last Friday's session, following the discovery of a new mutation of Corona and fears of its negative effects.

The Dubai Financial Market began trading today, Sunday, with a decrease of 4.6% at the level of 3,027 points, with transactions amounting to 125 million dirhams.

Today's trading witnessed a collective decline in shares, headed by the "Dubai Market", "Deyaar Development" and "Union Properties" by more than 8%, and the shares of "Emaar Properties" and "GFH" by more than 6%.

The Abu Dhabi Financial Market opened its trading session with a decrease of 2.5% at the level of 8,247 points, with transactions worth 108 million dirhams.

 The shares of "Dana Gas", "Eshraq Investments" and "Manazil" are trading down more than 8%, while the shares of "First Abu Dhabi", "Etisalat" and "Alpha Abu Dhabi" are down more than 2%.
