If notaries can be of precious help in a multitude of legal issues that affect our daily lives, more than one French person hesitates to push the door of their offices. Due to ignorance of the profession and its usefulness or even for fear of being billed for a prohibitive consultation, many people do without the advice of these legal professionals, without going to seek information from another specialist! Unfortunately, a good number of users, and very often those who need it the most, are thus far removed from the legal services that could support them. In order to promote access to law and justice for all citizens, the State and the Superior Council of Notaries (CSN) have therefore signed an Agreement onobjectives for the profession over the period 2021-2024. A year later, a first initiative came to translate these commitments into concrete terms.

At the beginning of October, the CSN indeed announced the establishment of a new telephone information service accessible for the whole of France.

Called Info Notaries, this national hotline intends to quickly provide a first level of response to all users' legal questions, then direct them, if necessary, to the professional best able to advise them.

In terms of modalities, you can contact Info Notaries on 0892 011 012, all day, Monday to Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Downside: this is not a free service.

The call is billed at 0.80 cents per minute.
