Dubai Airport reopens “Concourse A” .. and is close to achieving 100% return to work

Dubai Airports today reopened Concourse A at the Terminal 3 site at Dubai International Airport, in an important step towards bringing the world's busiest international airport back to work at 100% full operational capacity.

The Foundation indicated in a statement that flight No. (EK659), coming from Mali, is the first "Concourse A" flight since its closure for about 20 months, on March 15, 2020, as part of measures taken by the UAE with the aim of limiting the spread of the "Covid-19" pandemic.

She added that it is planned that "Concourse A" will be opened in gradual stages over the coming weeks, in a step that will support the efforts of Dubai International Airport in maintaining its usual service standards, while receiving the expected seasonal congestion in December and beyond.

Concourse A has a capacity of 18 million passengers annually, and contains a train connected to Terminal 3 and the largest facility of its kind in the world in terms of construction in order to meet a specific purpose, which is the Airbus A380.
