A few years ago, Renault had tested the system of interchangeable batteries for electric cars in Israel, but the experience was cut short for lack of profitability.

Since then, only the Chinese manufacturer Nio has persevered in this direction with a network of exchange stations in China.

But recently, the brand has entered the European market, starting with Norway.

It was therefore normal that after the launch of the ES8 SUV, Nio opened its first structure of its kind in the country.

The customer will have the choice to subscribe to a subscription called BaaS (Battery as a Service) to replace his battery.

According to the manufacturer, 92% of new customers have been tempted to use the twenty stations that will be built throughout the territory by next year.
