According to the official Weibo news of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyber Security Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security have recently jointly interviewed the relevant persons in charge of Alibaba Cloud and Baidu Cloud, and notified that the two companies are taking precautions. To address the high number of access to fraudulent websites in telecommunication network fraud work, the two companies are required to earnestly fulfill their main responsibility for network and information security, strictly implement the "Network Security Law" and other legal and regulatory requirements, and impose deadlines on related issues Rectification; those who refuse to make rectification or fail to make rectification will be severely punished in accordance with laws and regulations.
The two companies stated that they will conscientiously implement the regulatory requirements, further strengthen the management of website access, domain name registration, and information services, and effectively prevent and resolve the risks of telecommunications network fraud.
In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Public Security will adhere to the people-centered development concept, focus on the difficult and painful issues reported by the broad masses of people, make practical moves and make heavy blows, guide and urge Internet companies to strictly implement security responsibilities, and strengthen the management of basic Internet resources. We will monitor and dispose of fraudulent Internet accounts, increase industry supervision and penalties for violations, and take multiple measures to promote the prevention and management of telecommunications and network fraud in the Internet field, so as to better safeguard the people’s property safety and legitimate rights and interests.
