US Presidential Envoy for Climate Change, John Kerry, affirmed that the UAE has always dazzled the world with its creative initiatives that contribute to the progress of humanity and improve the lives of global human societies.

This came in the context of his praise for the UAE’s victory in hosting the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change “COP 28” in 2023, noting that Abu Dhabi had hosted the regional dialogue on climate action, in the presence of the countries of the region, which are among the most productive countries. To discuss the challenges of climate change and the need to address them, and unite efforts to reduce carbon emissions and face global warming.

In a session entitled “COP 26: How to Turn Plans into Reality?” moderated by John Deftarios, Professor of Business Administration at New York University - Abu Dhabi, Kerry called on international oil companies to join initiatives to combat climate change, stressing that the lack of concerted global efforts now to confront climate change.
