The RM Sotheby's auction house is auctioning 75 luxury cars this Friday.

The event is organized on the Paul Ricard circuit in Castellet (Var).

Transactions will begin at noon and are reserved for people who have previously registered.

Access to exceptional vehicles, displayed before sale in the circuit stands, is also limited, reports France Bleu Provence.

The cars offered to wealthy amateurs all belong to a private collection, that of former racing driver Jean Guikas.

The latter is now based in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) and has become a recognized dealer in the world of vintage cars.

Some of the extremely rare high-end models offered for auction are sports cars, even Formula 1.

Up to 9 million euros for a 1955 Ferrari

Others are particularly luxurious road cars.

For example, a Jaguar XJ220 C LM will go on sale.

Its value is estimated at 1.4 million euros.

The auction could climb to 9 million euros for a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione manufactured in 1955. Fans could also pay more than 550,000 euros to become owners of a Delahaye 135 MS Saoutchik convertible.

No reserve price has been set for the vehicles auctioned.

In addition to Ferraris, Porsches, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes, Jaguar, Lamborghini or Maserati, engines and wheels will be offered.
