Nuclear energy heating technology is mature and practiced at home and abroad. Now all domestic nuclear power companies are actively participating. In addition to the newly commissioned Haiyang project, the Qinshan and Hongyanhe nuclear power plants are also undergoing renovation.

He particularly emphasized the need to strengthen public opinion guidance, because "nuclear heating has greatly shortened the distance between nuclear energy and the public", and more importantly, to ensure that relevant information is open and transparent, and to communicate well with the public.

  The so-called "nuclear energy is closer to the public", Wu Fang, chairman of SPIC Shandong Nuclear Power, explained that nuclear power plants are directly connected to the power grid, and then transmitted from the power grid to thousands of households.

So only from the perspective of power generation, nuclear energy is not directly connected to the public.

However, the radius of the heating network of the nuclear heating water network is relatively small, and the local and surrounding people can directly benefit. Therefore, this comprehensive nuclear energy utilization project has a closer connection with the public.

  "The public need not worry about this at all," Wu Fang said.

In the final analysis, nuclear heating and coal power plant heating are both the use of waste heat from power plants. There is only heat exchange between the heating side and the heating side, and there is no other medium for transmission.

  He made a specific interpretation of the nuclear heating process: mainly extracting steam from the secondary circuit of the nuclear power unit as a heat source, and performing multi-stage heat exchange through the first heat exchange station in the plant and the heat exchange station of the heat supply enterprise outside the plant, and finally through the municipal heating pipe The net transfers heat to the end user.

"In the whole process, only two steps of steam heating water and water heating water took place." There are multiple circuits for isolation between nuclear power plants and heating users; each circuit has only heat transfer, no water exchange, and no Any possibility of radioactivity entering the user's heating pipeline; hot water is only circulated in a closed loop in the community, isolated from the nuclear power plant layer by layer, "no contact, very safe."

  Judging from the existing practice of nuclear heating at home and abroad, the safety and reliability of nuclear heating have also been proven.

According to Wu Fang, SPIC Shandong Nuclear Power relies on Haiyang Nuclear Power to promote nuclear energy in accordance with "no increase in residential heating prices, no increase in government financial burdens, no damage to the interests of heating companies, contributions from nuclear power enterprises, and great improvement in ecological and environmental benefits." Since heating, various indicators have met the requirements: each heating season is about 100,000 tons of raw coal, reducing 180,000 tons of carbon dioxide, 691 tons of smoke and dust, 1,123 tons of nitrogen oxides, and 1,188 tons of sulfur dioxide; at the same time, Haiyang residential heating costs per building square The meter has been reduced by one yuan compared with previous years; and after the second phase of the demonstration project is put into operation, the thermal efficiency of the nuclear power unit will also increase from 36.69% to 39.94%.

Achieved a win-win situation for local people, local governments, heating power companies, nuclear power companies, and ecological and environmental protection.

  As a result, this demonstration project has also played its due role in demonstrating. It is reported that the project has attracted enthusiastic attention from the domestic industry, and nuclear power companies have actively followed up.

Luan Jian, director of the Shandong Energy Bureau, revealed that Shandong Province will focus on building a nuclear power base of tens of millions of kilowatts in the Jiaodong Peninsula during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and in the future, and simultaneously promote the comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy and heating, and strive to install capacity in operation by 2030. With a scale of more than 13 million kilowatts, all the qualified areas of the Jiaodong Peninsula will realize nuclear heating.
