“We communicated quite clearly that we would consider the possibility of raising the rate at further meetings, and I think that at the December council, on the table of the board of directors, there will be a fairly wide range of options for changing the key rate.

We are determined to bring inflation back to the target by the end of next year, "- quoted by TASS Tremasov.

In October it was reported that the Central Bank of Russia had decided to raise the key rate by 0.75 percentage points to 7.5%.

Nikolay Pereslavsky, an employee of the CMS Department of Economic and Financial Research, in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper commented on the increase in the Central Bank's key rate to 7.5%.

Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina admitted the possibility of a further increase in the key rate.

She did not rule out that in December the growth could amount to 100 basis points (1 percentage point).
