The music streaming service Spotify as well as other apps and websites were disrupted for many users on Tuesday.

A likely trigger was problems in Google's cloud infrastructure, which many providers rely on.

The Internet company reported technical problems shortly after 7:00 p.m. CET and announced seven minutes later that they had been at least partially resolved.

After that, user reports on portals such as allestören.de subsided.

Previously, users had reported problems with Snapchat, the smartphone game “Pokémon Go” and the chat service Discord, among others.

Outages that can be traced back to problems with a large web service provider are not uncommon.

A disruption at Google would not be the trigger for the first time either.
